Arab Atlas of Environmental Change

The Atlas is intended to bring focus and draw the attention of decision makers and the public to environmental changes in key selected areas in West Asia. The impact of human activities in West Asia will be documented and quantified to show environmental changes taking place on land, in the water, and in the air. This will be demonstrated through a combination of ground photographs, current and historical satellite images, and narrative based on extensive scientific evidence. The publication will illustrate how humans have altered their surroundings and continue to make observable and measurable changes to the global environment.
